Gina Stepped begrudgingly out of the car and leaned onto a nearby Traincar. Reina stepped in front of our cars in between both of us. she had a rolled up paper in one hand and an old red handkerchief blotted with motor oil in the other. "Okay folks!" she spoke through the piece of paper like a Loudspeaker. "let this be a clean race! first one to complete a full lap around the Train Station wins the pot! now ladies and gentleman, Start your engines!" Mikes car started right up with a roar and a small chirp from the exhaust. you can tell that Reina has been tinkering with his new toy. it took my car about a minute to start up. the SVX awoke with a definitive roar and a chirp from the dual exhaust pipes. the car was far from stock itself and has held its own against much tougher cars in its prime. Reina raised her left arm straight up into the air with the oily red handkerchief dangling from her fingertips. "when this rag drops, you guys floor it, okay?" we both revved our engines in agreement. "On your marks, get set." before she could say that last word, a red and blue light strobed across Reina's body followed by a chirping whistle.
"Cops!" everyone screamed. Reina dropped the dirty handkerchief and hopped in Mikes car. they both sped off into the maze of abandoned Train cars. "Gina! Get in!" i screamed out my moonroof hoping Gina heard. within a split second she dove feet first through the opening in the moonroof. her slender body made it look easy. "hold on." placing my car in first gear, i slammed down on the gas only to hear a loud metal scraping noise. the car jerked forward, then came to an abrupt halt. i realized i let off the clutch too quickly and accidently caused a stall. "Fuck!" i shouted. the police cruiser was only yards away from us now and i have to restart the engine. "cmon-cmon-cmon-cmon, Fuck!" the engine turned slowly, the car didnt have enough battery power to turn the starter quick enough. anger was filling my body. "lets just run for it!" Gina exclaimed. i knew that if we left the car they would trace it back to my Apartment. "i cant!" i replied to Gina. the heat from my frustration made my body feel like it was bathing in liquid fire. it was similar to the feeling of pain i had after i hit Leo. "Lets go!" i punched my radio out of frustration, but when my fist hit the console, little green sparks came flying out in every direction. almost immediately the car came to life with a familiar and harmonious roar. "okay?" both Gina and i said with confusion in our voices, without a second thought i stuck it into first again and began entering the twisted maze of traincars.
the Trainyard was filled with old and rusted scrap. train cars were littered all over the place in no possible order. a narrow dust trail shown the direction in which Reina and Mike took off, but the Mercedes was nowhere to be seen. the flashing red and blue lights were shrouded by the dust created by my car. the trails twisted and turned off suddenly while rusted out train cars whizzed by close enough to stick my hand out and touch. still following Mikes feint tire tracks i noticed one of the closer train cars had a large silver streak across the lower edge. accompanied by some glass sparkling on the floor nearby. "i hope they got away ok." i said towards Gina. She was still in a state of shock staring at the radio, waiting for something to happen. "you do know the cops are chasing us, right?" i took a glance in my rearview mirror noticing the red and blue glow was far enough away that we might have a chance of escaping.
i waved my hands in front of Gina's eyes to break her concentration. "how are you so calm?" Gina replied i was a bit suprised by her question. "well um, idunno. i just am. dont worry, they wont catch us." just as i finished talking a large cracking sound came from under the hood. "your fucking kidding me right?" Gina screamed nervously. the engine ceased and the lights went out, but we were still drifting forward. we were now going about 60 miles per hour in pitch black with giant rusty metal death traps on either side of us. the cop was starting to catch up. we noticed the red and blue glow was starting to reflect off the nearby scrap. out of the corner of my eye i saw a small space between two carts that was just big enough to turn in to. "hold on." i slammed down on my brakes and spun the wheel to the left. the car almost did a complete 90 degree spin and barely had enough momentum to squeeze itself into the tiny space. thankfully the space was deep enough to fit the entire car. Gina and i both ducked under the window hoping the car was hidden enough so that the police cruiser didnt notice. it seemed like an eternity ducked down but eventually the cruiser passed us by, leaving a dust trail behind him. we both let out a large sigh of relief when the red and blue glow faded away.
